Evaluation practice

The code of ethics for the evaluators of public interventions lists the principles and rules of conduct belonging to the professional activities of public intervention evaluators. This is applied to all evaluators, even though they are or not members of a network of evaluators or the members of the professional community of evaluators in Romania, such as these may be recognized or regulated by law.

These standards are a guide for planning, coordination, conducting and using evaluations. This collection summarizes some accepted international standards and provides easy to use guidelines for evaluation community from Romania. Its practicality helps both practitioners and evaluators to apply the standards easier.

This guide provides a point of reference for those involved in evaluation, due to the fact that it incorporates evaluation practice from the point of view of evaluators, evaluation managers and evaluation participants. It can be used in the evaluation process in any field or discipline. This guide should be consulted in parallel with the Code of Ethics for evaluators and the consolidated Explanatory Notes in the aforementioned technical assistance project, and also in parallel with the consolidated evaluation Standards.
